This week (Virtual) Family Dinner was hosted & taught by our favorite U.S. Army Sergeant- Justin Higgins! Though a Little Chute, Wisconsin, native at heart, Justin in currently stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, TX. In his free time, he enjoys hitting the links, perfecting his mean black bean burger, practicing novice yoga, virtual hangs with the “Boyz,” & sippin’ on an Old Fashioned or a crisp lemonade Truly. Justin has always been such a genuine friend you can count on near or far while stationed in New York, South Korea, & now, Texas. Sounds like a pretty great guy, eh? Well, I promise his balls are even better! MEATBALLS, that is. (Ladies, he’s single!!!)

Justin’s Homemade Meatballs

Ingredients
- 1 lb. Ground Beef/Turkey/Chicken
- ½ Onion, chopped
- ½ cup Bread Crumbs
- 1 Egg
- ½ tsp. Garlic Powder 1 tsp.
- ½ tsp. Pepper
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1 tsp. Italian Seasoning
Other Ingredients
- 1 Jar Pasta Sauce of choice
- 1 pckg. Noodles of choice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- In a small bowl, mix together spices.
- In a large bowl, use hands to combine ground meat of choice, chopped onion, spices, egg, & bread crumbs.
- Using an ice cream scooper or your hands, scoop & form meat mixture into desired sized meatballs. Place onto a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake meatballs for ~18-22 minutes depending on size. Using a knife, slice meatball in half to ensure meat is cooked.
- Add meeatballs on top of desired cooked noodles & sauce. Sprinkle parmesean cheese.
